SCISSOR & LAYING TOOL STAND

The promised pictures from yesterday's post. The stand had to bake longer since it was so thick, and then it took a long time to cool - therefor the pictures are as of this morning instead of last evening, as stated.

It turned out just as hoped. The idea came from seeing a glass flower frog on another blog which was pictured along with her Mary Wigham stitching. The glass frog was lovely no doubt, but not tall enough. I had lots of Polymer Clay Scraps from previous projects and decided to combine it all and see what happens.

The results were pretty good, certainly more useful than the PC just laying around not serving any purpose. The stand can hold more than just scissors and laying tools I imagine, time will tell. Perhaps it will be a multi purpose stand. It is easy to grab a pair of scissors or a LT from it and that is actually very nice!

Perhaps you might want to create something similar, especially if you happen to have some Polymer Clay sitting around doing nothing! Its easy to mix the different colors just make several sakes, roll those together twist the roll - even doubling back on itself. then take a round plastic container cut the roll into pieces press in to the container rounding at the top. Remove from your mold,  use some glitter to add sparkle,  make the openings for your LT's and Scissors, and then bake! Voila! You have a beautiful & useful tool for your stitching table.

Have some fun and see what happens! Please show your results, as it would be fascinating to know what you come up with! Enjoy your day, mine is filled to the brim!
